Nearly 300 applications migrated to the cloud on schedule, with a ten-person team built in six weeks

Three developers look together at a laptop showing code in a bright, brick-walled office; one of them takes notes.

Background of the cooperation

In Emerson's cloud migration project, the deadline was what mattered: if the migration slipped, the entire licence agreement package would have had to be renegotiated, affecting several hundred software components.

The assignment followed an international tender in which BlackBelt was chosen over American, Indian and Polish bidders. The decision-makers were convinced by our speed and our professional proposals.

The team

In six weeks, during the summer, we built a ten-person team with mixed competencies. The work had to be carried out in full sync with three different client teams.

We did not just provide the requested capacity: we proposed bringing in a new skillset, which the client accepted.

Result

A year later, nearly 300 applications had moved to the cloud, on schedule. We also optimised the process with our own proposals, which the client explicitly acknowledged.

The key to adopting AI is not the technology but the decision

    Founding owner

The lesson of the German–Hungarian Business Day panel discussion: the AI tools and the ideas are already there; whether adoption succeeds depends on who sets the direction and the entry points, and what the organisation consciously leaves for later.
